Message From Our Medical Director
Because of public health concerns, we must continue to adopt new strategies to keep our patients and employees safe. We care very much about you and all of our patients’ well-being, and we ask that you be courteous and assist us with keeping everybody healthy. Consequently, Dr. Weidaw and I are continuing to evaluate ways to encourage social distancing to help keep you and others around you safe and to comply with the new stay at home order.
We are undertaking these new measures to help keep you, your family, and our employees healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are continuing to actively screen all of our patients prior to your appointments and ask that you self-screen yourself as well. If you or anyone in your family or whom you regularly associated with has had a fever and cough or shortness of breath in the last 14-days, we ask that you call ahead to the office to reschedule or set up a telemedicine visit.
- Please do not bring any family members or friends with you to your appointment.” Specifically, to protect all our patients, we are only allowing the patient in the office. Patient partners must remain outside the office.”
- All Well Woman exam appointments will be rescheduled sometime in May. Our staff will call you to reschedule your Well Woman exam. “If you have a new and pressing gynecologic complaint to address with the physicians, please do not hesitate to schedule an appointment in person if you need a sensitive exam or as a telemedicine visit. As always, we are eager to assist you.”
You may be asked to move your visit to a telemedicine visit. Do not hesitate to call our office with questions if you are feeling ill. “Telemedicine is a simultaneous secure video encounter over your computer, phone or tablet device with the doctor. In this type of visit, the physician can discuss your subjective and objective findings, form an assessment and develop a plan of care for all you need without a sensitive physical exam. Many of our gynecology visits can be easily done with telemedicine. You can have a great visit with your doctor from home. Here at the Vitae Clinic, we have been using telemedicine for nearly a year already.”
“These are big changes to our practice. But please realize that these changes are for your best care and protection and that they are only temporary. Thank you always for your patronage and for being part of our Vitae Clinic family.”
